Green Motion Manchester adds the 2016 Volvo XC90 to the fleet

When Swedish manufacturers Volvo announced the release of the highly anticipated 2016 XC90, Green Motion Manchester set out to add the brand new Volvo XC90 to its range of vehicles.

Since the original release in 2002, the XC90 has been praised for its marvellous build quality, family-friendly design and many great safety and convenience features. The new extensive redesign has seen the car emerge as one of the best luxury SUVs on the market, and we’re proud to announce its addition to the Manchester fleet.

The XC90 T8 Twin Engine plug-in hybrid has a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder engine. The ‘twin engine’ combines the 316bhp T6 engine with an 80bhp electric motor to give a combined output of almost 400bhp and a 0-62mph time of 5.6 seconds.

The Volvo XC90 has been awarded five stars and achieved top ratings in its 2015 Euro NCAP tests. Most notably, the XC90 also features advanced pedestrian protection functionality that independent safety regulators have yet to include in their testing protocols.

If all these features weren’t enough, the plug-in hybrid is extremely eco-friendly, emitting just under 49g/km of CO2. It also comes with a range of safety features – the same variety which sees Volvo consistently topping the safest-in-class tests.
