Renault Zoe

Renault has been one of the most forward-thinking electric car manufacturers and there were claims that the Zoe could reach up to 249 miles from a single charge. In testing the true range in normal driving will be more like 186 miles in good conditions, and at worst, 124 miles.

BMW i3

The i3 comes in two versions, the fully electric model and the plug-in hybrid version. The fully electric i3 has a range of around 114 miles between charges.

Nissan LEAF

Since the Nissan Leaf debuted in 2010, many others have joined the electric car market. The Leaf is a longstanding electric car and it remains one of the best for range. The 2016 model has a 30 kilowatt-hour battery pack that gives the car a 107-mile range on a full charge.
